Standing on broad shoulders

Ten years ago I had the privilege of studying “Narrative Therapy” with guru, Michael White.  It left with an indelible insight into how the connection with our family and its values can provide the broad shoulders that enable us to make the most of our lives.

On 12 January 2008 I married Geoff and became a member of the “Williams Family”.  My love of research and genealogy led me to research my genetic family as well as my new family.  As I delved into the Williams family I discovered a strong thread of family values that continue to be important to the family today.  These values include a living Christian faith, community service, family, education and courage.  I realised the importance of these values to our grandchildren, as they grow up in a post-modernist world where everything is relative and absolute truth is denied.

This website is dedicated to our grandchildren Talitha, Henry, Matilda, Emma, Parker, Autumn, Luke and Cayley in the hope that they too can find meaning in the lives of their ancestors which will provide the broad shoulders on which they can stand, gain insight and step confidently to create their own futures.
